The proposed building design for a music centre, located in Kitchener, Ontario, revolves around the overlapping layers that unfold as one traverses through the building. A series of ramps and cascading staircases, take over the building, eventually making their way to the exterior. This extended ramp, combined with the various platforms that level out between steps, can turn into a collaborative space for musicians to sit, play and perform. The element of movement and interaction creates an atmosphere that embraces a communicative music-based relationship.
